    Welcome @timmyster.
    Not sure of smaller scanners. I'm sure there are some on the market, maybe a wand type. I feel your pain though. I'm new here, too and at the sorting stage with my cards, but have scanned a few cards to figure out the process. It's annoying to get up from my desk to put each card in. When ready, I plan to move my printer/scanner to my desk to make things flow more easily. My wife has a photo scanner, but I'm not willing to put the cards through the rollers to get the image.
