You’re forgiven if at this moment you’re asking, “The Columbus who?” 

The Owls were the last of three Columbus hockey teams to play in the International Hockey League between 1966 and 1977. Prior to the Owls’ demise, the Columbus Checkers and Golden Seals each had their time on the ice.
