RIP Whitey Ford!
As one of the oldest members on this board I am actually old enough to have seen Whitey Ford pitch for those great Yankee teams of the 50's and early 60's
He truly was a master on the mound. Grateful to have these cards in my collection.

Rest in Peace and prayers for his family, sad to hear of his passing today.Last edited by ronfir; 10-14-2020 at 10:15 PM.

Love the Greats and Yankees Legends autographs. I only have one autograph of Whitey though I wish I had more. He like most Yankees don't have a ton of autographs out there and he seemed to have even less. Was even harder to get anybody to trade or sell one.

Great collection. He was my pitching coach at baseball camp before high school . He and Mickey Mantle were great to talking with and learn from...

I was down at the Philly Show a few years back, and I was walking in the back and I happened to see someone sitting down at a table in the corner. I was looking for a name on the wall, but nothing. I then hear someone walking up and gasping for a second, then he says "I think that is Whitey Ford". At that time, someone puts his name up on the wall behind him and I am just awestruck. I was only a few feet away from him so I said "How are you doing today Mr. Ford, and he said "I am doing great, thanks, how about yourself". I responded that I was doing fine and I told him to enjoy the show, and he did the same. I will never forget that.
