    If I'm paying triple digits for a card(s) it had better be exactly what I'm looking for. I'm not going to risk $200 in sports cards for the unknown.

    so does that mean you wont be buying any boxes, only singles. because isnt that what buying a box is. a big gamble.
    doesnt it take the fun out of a hobby when all you need to be is rich and you can buy whatever you want. but to pull a big auto or a 1/1 from a box, its kinda like winning on a scratch card. its rare but it feels great to be the one who does it. maybe thats whats missing from this hobby today. maybe its not a hobby afterall. maybe its just been reduced to, well something else.
    the hobby has changed since i was a kid. a lot has. not always for the better.
    of course i'm not rich lol i cant just buy what i want. boy i wish i was lol
