Vintage Football Cards: Topps/Bowman ranging from 1948 to 1962

I have access to a bulk lot of vintage football cards ranging from 1948 Bowman to 1962 Topps. All are in decent condition, especially given their age... some wear here and there, a couple of creases on a few perhaps, but no "beaters". All good collectable cards,
I would be willing to do a cash deal or a "cash plus trade" deal for these. I would prefer to work a deal for the lot, but I am willing to consider offers for partial lots.

The lot (except the '62 Topps, which are mine) are cards I have agreed to try to broker on behalf of their owner (a close friend of mine). In addition to these cards, I also have a number of 70s and early 80s football cards available.

There are a couple of duplicates in the 40s/50s cards, but not very many.
Here are galleries of the cards:

This is definately a "purchase-only" or a "purchase+trade" situation. (Anything that I accept in trade I will be compensating the owner for in cash, so a "trade-only" deal is most likely out of the question.)
The owner's asking price for the 40s/50s lot is $2,000. I know that's a lot, and I have advised that the pricing is likely too high, which is why I agreed to bring the lot to a couple of forums to expand the potential market. Based on the information I already with the owner, the owner is likely willing to accept significantly less based on my discussions if the offer (or offers) is right.

I do have the 40s/50s cards in hand.

Currently focused on vintage baseball set-building needs.

I generally collect mostly vintage baseball (mostly set building) and sports memorabilia (especially HoFers and current/former Dodgers, Giants, Yankees, and/or Angels; SF 49ers).

Bumping this up. Don't let he owner's "asking" price deter you form making offers... I've been working with the owner to establish more realistic expectations.
