NHL Unveils Reverse Retro Jerseys for All 31 Teams

So, some of these look absolutely incredible. Great job by the design teams for these. What's your favourite team, and are you a fan of their Reverse Retro?

As a Habs fan, I love theirs. Kinda wish they put the sleeve numbers in the striped area as they had them designed that way for a few years.
Other winners: LA Kings, NJ Devils, Carolina/Hartford, Colorado/Quebec City.
Losers: Boston, because that's who they are forever. The bear on the shoulder patch looks like it was drawn by someone who has never seen a bear before.

I love the Colorado reverse retro. So nice. I also like the Ducks!

The Maple Leafs version was okay, but I think it could have been better. Great concepts for a league-wide set of jerseys.

Habs are hideous as always! I guess it's all in the eye of the beholder. Actually none of the original 6 are very good. The B's meth bear just won't go away. lol
The Wings and Leafs don't have a lot of options colorwise. Not sure what they could do? The Wings could do black but would hard to see the red logo. Grey maybe? Would look like practice jerseys.
Kings, Caps and Sharks look great. Avs and Carolina are sweet but not sure what Quebec and Hartford fans feel about it? Not sure about the Jets yet but glad they didn't do a Alanta version...

My thoughts

Big Winners:
Canes-Whalers: Great throwback to some of the sweaters Howe wore with Hartford
Avs-Nordiques: Looks good, only thing I would of done different is do the collar and Fleur-de-lis in Nordiques blue and leave the Avs burgundy on the Nords logo only. Still one of the best of the 31.
Devils: Some reason this looks sharp. I will strongly consider getting a Mercer in this sweater if he plays this season.
Blues: I thought I would hate this, but I can't get over how sharp this looks
Lightning: This could be their regular sweater
Kings: Can't get over how good that Gretzky era 'chevy' logo looks in those colours
Wild: The Wild should consider switching to these colours permanently


Secondary Winners:
Pens: Great look, hard to believe they never did this on the whites before.
Flyers: Pretty solid entry for the Bullies
Canucks: Not a bad look
Caps: That Eagle logo in a larger form on the Capitals red is very nice
Sharks: The grey body with the oversized logo will win with the fans
Jets: Getting a lot of grief from the Jets fans online, I kind of like it, especially with the return of a variation on the old logo
Blue Jackets: I thought it looked stupid at first, but it looks sharp, great design, I figured they would of did the red body with the blue shoulders, but this works.



Take 'em or Leave 'em:
Florida: Nice uni, but really nothing more than a throwback to the 1998-2003 blue sweater they wore there.
Leafs: Outside of the larger logo, it is just like any other Leafs sweater of the 80's/early 90's, Lazy, could of did the shoulder stripe in grey, or bring back the silver edging they used during the Sundin years
Rangers: Just a throwback really, boring
Red Wings: Too plain, you would think adding a third colour the Wings would take a bigger chance.
Stars: I thought they were playing it too safe after the Glow in the Dark third sweater, but they're going with the white pants and gloves like the Leafs Winter Classic gear, still kind of meh
Bruins: Surprisingly, I like the yellow but the return of the bear patch on the shoulders doesn't look good
Preds: Just another yellow Preds sweater
Oilers: Just another throwback
Islanders: Just another throwback
Blackhawks: its nice, but its just the old logo on a newer jersey
Sens: Wasn't fond of them at first, but its looking better now


Losers:
Ducks the original was horrible, this isn't any better.
Golden Knights: Looks like the inside of a garish casino
Flames: It was a crappy sweater when they first did it, I never would of brought it back
Sabres: didn't like it in Red and Black, & the regular colours look no better
Coyotes, looks like someone vomited while on a Peyote trip


Also Mention:
Canadiens: Can't say anything bad about the Habs sweater(and that says a lot), but they’re the Habs so I can’t say anything good either. I'm sure there a lots of people who would put this sweater in either the Big Winners, or more likely the Secondary Winners lists, but not me

Boston should go all in on meth bear and put it as the big logo. If people can love meth Youppi (Gritty), why not meth bear?

Coyotes was a great re-hash of the ugly green third jerseys. Also, think about all the cool jersey swatches that can be generated from the cacti at the bottom of the jersey. Everyone complains about plain white, but this is a jersey designed to look nice when cut up in a card.

The Red Wings should have gone all in with a true retro and done the meth cougar (http://www.nhluniforms.com/RedWings/RedWings03.html). Enough with tradition, change it up some. Or hell, go all in and make a cool red winged bird or car logo, try to innovate a little bit.

Same with the Leafs, do something different. Go back to the Arsenals "T" or the 45-48 with red lettering in the leaf

I don't like grey jerseys so the Jets lose on that note, and I do think they should have gone with some of the others who went back to their roots (MN, CO, Carolina).

I like CBJ, but they missed the mark, they are Blue Jackets, not Red Coats.

And lastly, when did Vancouver get sponsored by Sprite?

I agree, the Leafs version could have been way better. My favourites were Calgary and Anaheim, though I like Colorado's and the Blues as well. I can't speak about Montreal's jersey; I'm biased to dislike everything about them :p

Ducks, Jets, Knights, Canucks, Leafs, Blues, Pens, Sens, Flyers, Rangers, Habs, Wild, Oilers, Wings, Dallas, Columbus, Flames, Hawks, Sabres, Bruins, Coyotes

Meh:
Bolts, Sharks, Isles, Preds, Kings, Panthers

Kind of like:
Caps, Devils

Asterisk:
Canes, Avs


Yeah, I found two that I think I can honestly say "I kinda like that".

The asersiks:

I do like the retro-Whalers jersey. I like their colour scheme. I hate seeing the Hurricanes wear it.

I like the colour sceme on the Avs jersey. Is dislike the mashing of Avs, with the fleur-de-lis. The jersey is way too busy, has too much stuff on it.
