1989 BYU Team Issue Set - NEED INFO (Cougar collectors, Utah collectors)

Apparently in 1989 the BYU Cougars had a 16 card team set issued through a local fast food chain (Arctic Circle). Apparently these cards were given out in Kid's meals. Among the cards in the set are a Jason Chaffetz, Ty Detmer, and Lavell Edwards.

Given the obscurity of this, can anyone chime in on the rarity and potential value of these? There are only a couple of these cards on COMC/Ebay, the Chaffetz was up for $200.00 (!!!) but has disappeared. I have what I believe to be the entire set (16 cards) in NM-MT in toploaders...just wondering if anyone can chime in on this strange item.

Seems pretty rare, book value may not reflect a buyer's desire to have the set if they don't come up all that often. Might be worth setting a Buy It Now for $99 with a Best Offer option and see what rolls in. I wouldn't set a minimum offer either.

Yeah I think these are going to be too scarce for anybody to go by Beckett book value. Not saying that these cards are super valuable but I'm guessing they just don't show up enough to get a very accurate sell price on them. If anybody has a worthpoint.com account that would probably be the best pricing way to go on these. It takes past eBay sales and archives them. I don't have an account there or otherwise I would help you out with this.

I’m guessing that the the two box’s of 1990 Clemson tigers all time greats I have here should be put in this category also then, would you feel that this site might have an excel aerated value based on unopen wax, the desire to possess any players cards is based on the collector’s found treasures valued Enthusiasm, Regardless of year,

It should. They have back eBay sales for anything. Don't know how far back it goes but I think I've seen 10+ years before.
