Is Cayden Primeau the real deal?

First there was Zach Fucale, then Michael McNiven, and now Cayden Primeau... is Cayden Primeau truly the Habs goalie of the future in waiting, or just another in a growing list of have-nots?

Wrong thread! Would someone mind moving this over to the main thread? I no longer have my staff powers, haha. Looking forward to RGM81's response to this question as well.

Fortunately the organization has ample time to figure out if he's the next Carey, the next Fucale or something in between (the first Cayden!). The organization currently intends to have Primeau play 150 games in the AHL, which is (depending on how the AHL seasons go in these COVID times) probably a minimum of 3 seasons. He's already 21 so that's, what, 24 by the time they reckon he'll be fully NHL ready? I think that's someone you're not grooming to be a full-time #1 superstar goalie. He will have a great apprenticeship when he is ready for the show, getting to learn from Price as the Habs transition towards the future. I think the initial hobby craze around him has subsided a little bit and while his values remain high, I think they'll dip over the coming years while he's in the AHL, and then when he gets recalled and wins his first game, all restraint breaks loose, we can trade Price to Seattle, yada yada yada. LOL
Habs fan and collector! Main PC's: Carey Price, Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, Juraj Slafkovsky, and of course...
