    Card Condition

A lot of people ask if they should have a card graded or want to know condition for either buy/sell or trade value.
Easy way to see for yourself is to take a close up photo and download it to Flickr.
Than all you need to do is click on the photo and it enlarges. I'm not sure how much but it looks to be about 5x. Whatever it is it is more than enough to see exactly what you have, or would be getting if you are trading or buying.
I did this with some early 80s cards. Most of the corners looked sharp to the naked eye but yikes, not so under magnification! You will see obvious flaws you normally can't see.

It is a little bit of work but with the difference in value between 9, 9.5s and 10s of higher end cards, it is worth it. Not too mention the cost of grading. No sense paying someone else to tell you your card is not mint when you can see for yourself.

Something a lot of people I've seen recommend for this type of thing is a magnifying glass with light on (an arm like a lamp so you keep your hands free). There would be an upfront investment but would be worthwhile if you're trying to decide what to send for grading.
