Tiger Woods injured in rollover car crash near Los Angeles, extracted with 'jaws of life'

Golf legend Tiger Woods was seriously injured Tuesday in a one-car accident in Southern California, officials said.

Woods' vehicle was going north on Hawthorne Boulevard at Blackhorse road, on the border of Rolling Hills Estates and Rancho Palos Verdes, when it crashed and sustained "major damage," the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said in a statement.

Just saw this. Terrible news. He's having surgery as he sustained multiple serious leg injuries. The wreck looked really bad. Glad he's alive, but this is still very serious, and may end his career.
