Trying to get back into the hobby after 25+ years!!!

    Hi Everyone!

Excited to have found this forum! Friends call me Hub! From So Cal and haven't really been in the card hobby since I was a teenager. Found my boxes of cards (mostly basketball cards from 89-95ish but other sports as well) and started going through them to see what I have. Found 100-200 cards I think may have some value but no idea how to go about cataloging and researching. Very excited to have found this resource to get me going.

Looking forward to learning from you all!

Hubadub1234- welcome to SCF! Unfortunately, many of the cards from the late 80's and early 90's were massively overproduced which has kept their values low. That said, anything Jordan or Kobe in particular will draw interest.
    Always Looking for:

    A) Graded Vintage (Pre-1980) (BGS, BVG, PSA, SGC) in all sports
    B) Graded True RC's (No inserts or parallels) (BGS, PSA, SGC) in all sports
    C) Certified Auto and GU cards of players from the 70's and further back in all sports

Hi JFried! That's kind of what I figured to be the case. It's fun going through them all nonetheless. If I could make a few bucks here and there, would just be a nice bonus.

    Hub,
Best thing is to do some comps and see what your cards are actually selling for on ebay. Always take a look at graded sales as well on Jordan stuff if you wish to take a chance on grading. Might take some time and dollars but it can be worth it in the long run.

Have questions feel free to ask.

    Appreciate the warm welcome!

I've started looking into comparisons on eBay and boy are there crazy ranges for some of these. It's pretty overwhelming and confusing. But I'm sure with the resources here, will figure it out.
