Well at least we now have a pretty good idea about one of the non-performers. I'll bet Steve Yzerman had Drouin's personal problem figured out when he gave him up for a good unproven prospect.

The want list at this link features what I need of Gretzky, Roy, Ottawa Senators, and Miscellaneous sets. I also have a CFL want list on my page and if you have nothing from it I will consider other traders of current Ottawa Senators, Carey Price, Guy Lafleur, vintage hockey (pre 1970) and trade bait such as McDavid.

Funny how much can change in a week.

I know lots of Habs fans. I'm in South-Western Ontario.... but somehow the circles I run in, there are more Habs fans than Leafs fans. A week ago, there was a lot of fear that they would blow it, and miss the playoffs. Habs had a game in hand, but were only 6 points up on the Flames.

I maintained that it was ridiculous. There simply wasn't enough games left for the Flames to close the gap (or the Sens, or the Canucks). After Calgary beat them on Saturday night, and closed the gap to four points.... the gap did seem doable, even if it was still improbable.

Of course what happened after that was the Habs beat the Flames, lost the Leafs, and are now on a three game winnings streak with Wins vs WIN, OTT, and TOR.

They have only five games left (Calgay now has the game in hand) and Montreal has the tougher schedule (OTT, TOR x 2, EDM x2 for Montreal...... WIN, OTT, VAN x4 for Calgary) but if the Habs simply win 1 of their last five, and Calgary wins 5 of 6 (neither of which are very likely) - Montreal will still make it.

The bigger question for the Habs now: Do they finish 3rd or 4th? Winnipeg is on a 6 game loosing streak, and they're now tied with the Habs. I didn't think this was a gap that could be closed either, and it has.

Winnipeg has the easier schedule, so I do think they should be able to hang on - but it's going to be a fun race to watch.

Myself, I'm really hoping for EDM vs WIN, and TOR vs MON in the first round.

Leafs are what 5 wins & 3 Losses in the season series with 2 games to play? If you get to .500 come talk to us, maybe we will listen.
Hey, do you remember way back when when the Habs were in 1st place? Yeah it didnt last long but hey, they were there!! Playoffs 2 years in a row if you count the last years 9th place gimme. Lord Stanley cant be too far behind!!
Honestly, in 50 years i have never met a more dillusional group of people than Habs fans lmao!! Good luck with Edmonton or Toronto, either way its another early exit!!

For those of you that think i dont know what im talking about I will gladly put my money where my mouth is, its just whether or not the Habs fans have the parts to actually bet on your team!!
LMAO, i wouldnt bet 2 cents on the Habs

So you are the Leafs confident enough this year that they have replaced the old gum walls on their parade float with radial tires?
