Tim Tebow returning to the NFL as a tight end?
https://www.outkick.com/tim-tebow-th...on-by-jaguars/
Tim Tebow may be returning the NFL, though not as a quarterback. Instead, he may return so that he can block and catch passes from another quarterback, surefire No. 1 overall draft pick Trevor Lawrence.
In other words, if Tebow does return to the NFL, he will do so as a tight end, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports.
It’s true. According to Rapoport, Tebow recently worked out for the Jacksonville Jaguars and that “there has been at least some discussion of him signing.”
The Jaguars finished 1-15 last season, but they have since hired Urban Meyer as head coach and will pick up Lawrence later Thursday. Tebow, of course, was Meyer’s QB with the Gators. So if anyone if going to give Tebow another crack at the NFL, it’s probably Meyer.
Oh, besides all that, Meyer has already reportedly bought a house on the same Jacksonville street as Tebow.

Tebow should have been attempting this sooner. I remember teams asking him to consider the position change after he was in Denver.

Yep. Belichick wanted him as a tight end in New England, which would've extended his career in much the same way Rick Ankiel extended his in baseball by converting to an outfielder. No, what the hook is here is that Tebow wants to reunite with his former college coach, Urban Meyer, at Jacksonville, and figures that while he'd be a TE on the depth chart, Meyer can use him as a wildcat QB to relieve Lawrence from time to time.
