Question about master sets
Is there a consensus about whether
wrong backs should be considered
part of master sets?
For example, I’ve seen counts of
how many cards should be
considered the 1959 Topps baseball
master set; none of those included
wrong backs. Perhaps because
there’s no definitive list of wrong
backs?
Thanks for any insight.

Greetings:
It depends on how you view a wrong back. That would help me with a very much perspective then I can give you a better response."Any ballplayer that doesn't sign Autographs for little kids Ain't an American. He is a Communist"-Rogers Hornsby on Signing an Autograph as a Manager in 1942 with the St. Louis Browns.

If you mean what I consider a wrong back, I mean one player represented on the front, a different one on the back. It has
been my understanding that “wrong back” is the accepted term for that kind of printing mistake

Greetings:
That's 1 way of viewing wrong backs I also have been told if the back is on a different stock of cardboard from the white backs when it should been the black ones & vise~versa

Guess I’d like to hear from serious
master set collectors about what they
do.
