Utah Jazz Legend Mark Eaton Killed In Bicycle Crash

    https://www.totalprosports.com/2021/...bicycle-crash/

Tragic day for the NBA community, as former Utah Jazz center Mark Eaton has passed away at the age of 64 following a bicycle crash in Utah.

According to ESPN, the two-time Defensive Player of the Year was found lying in the middle of the road in Summit County at around 8:30 pm on Friday. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was eventually pronounced dead. The Summit County Sheriff’s Office says there is no reason to believe that a vehicle was involved in the accident at the moment.

Eaton spend his entire career in Utah. He led the league in blocks per game four times, and his average of 5.6 per game during the 1984-85 season remains the highest in NBA history.

Terrible news! I just found this out; ESPN didn't put it in their top NBA news headlines at all.

Sad! Look at the TTM Manager. A bunch of people just got his autograph TTM that day!
By all accounts from the articles I read, he was a nice, humble guy.

Yes, always heard that about him. He helped mentor Rudy Gobert too.

He closely mentored Gobert and contributed to the TV broadcasts on occasion. Definitely will be missed not only for his career and post-career influence on the Jazz but he was also a local restauranteur and worked with many local charities to make the community a better place. He was just an all-around great human being.
WTTF: ANY Jazz cards I don't have or some 90s inserts, some Innovation Stained Glass inserts, Panini 75 Years of the NBA inserts.
