eBay filtering search results
Not sure what's going on at eBay, but they've been making a lot of changes lately. Today, I did a search for KOVALCHUK and sorted them by "newly listed". A message said thet eBay had removed some of the search results to show me the more "relevant" listings.
At first, I thought maybe since I searched for newly listed, that they had filtered out some of the oldest listings. But when I clicked the "View All Results" link several of he "removed" links that now appeared were very recent listings. When I clicked the "View All Listings" link it added another 900 listings, all of which were listings for Kovalchuk cards and seemed relevant to me. This raised a couple of questions:
1) How do they determine which listings are not relevant and are removed from search results?
2) How would you feel if one of your listings was not visible because it was deemed not relevant? Or was only visible by clicking a second link after the search?Hidden Content

That's brutal.
I had never noticed anything like that before, so I did a check of my own:
I search for "ranford" on eBay.ca and got 3,926 results. The sort order is "Best Match" (not sure how they determine that?). If I change it to "Newly Listed" I got up to 4,028 results.
eBay.com I get 3,860 under "Best Match" and then 3,946 when I change to "Newly Listed"

Yeah a lot of bad changes. Have them made one lately that people actually like? Who is advising them on these changes if everyone dislikes them so much? Don't fix what isn't broken.Selling All My Cards Here------>Hidden Content
