Detroit cuts 17-year veteran long snapper Don Muhlbach
Normally jovial Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell opened Tuesday's news conference with empathy to deliver breaking news: the team was releasing veteran long snapper Don Muhlbach on Wednesday.

The Lions cut Don Muhlbach about 5 months after signing him to a 1-year deal. Reminds me of the day when Patrick Mannelly retired from the Bears after 16 seasons at long snapper. I had a high school coach who was friends with a former Kansas City Chiefs long snapper back in the day. Always heard if you could long snap successfully, you could carve out a nice long career in the NFL.

I have been searching for a Mannelly card for a long time and all my research says one doesn’t exist.

Sure is! Happy to make you a copy if you want it.
Yeah, that was pretty rude. They could have handled that better.
