    Question for the Masses

Say I've got a 2016 national treasure 1/1 ezekiel elliott and I think its near mint. Would it sell for a higher value raw or as a graded seven? thoughts? Thank you. I'm new to the board so I appreciate any help I can get....

Would sell higher as a raw. Given that it's a 1/1, grading would not get you a return unless it was a PSA 10 to help Zeke collectors with their registry leaderboard. There's no other version of the card that can grade higher so you don't have to worry about someone else having a better condition copy. Factor in the cost of grading and the time you don't have it, you'd eat into your profits and lower the ceiling.

I'd recommend if selling to fully disclose via close up pictures any of the perceived flaws and let bidders make the determination.

    Welcome to the boards

Basically any modern card getting a 7 would result in it being less valuable than just being raw. People really don't like modern stuff getting a grade that low. So yes it would hurt a cards value even on a 1/1 which doesn't really make much sense since that is the only copy of the card so it isn't like they can find a better copy of it.
