Question Series 1 delayed to December?

Anyone hear if this is true?
    Possibly even delayed to January.

There have been rumblings about this. I haven't seen it confirmed from anywhere official but given that O-Pee-Chee, which usually releases right around opening night, has been delayed until January 26, 2022, plus all the significant delays we are seeing for 2020-21 products (it's October and we still have not seen, among others probably: OPC Platinum, Ice, Clear Cut, SP Authentic, Premier, Ultimate, and of course The Cup) I would not be the least bit surprised to learn that Series 1 is being kicked back a few weeks.

I definitely think that Series 1 is going to end up delayed, I was just wondering if there was some sort of confirmation of it. I'm pretty sure OPC was scheduled for January from the get go, which I remember people thinking was odd considering previous releases. I guess we will see what happens

My LCS posted this on Facebook, on October 6th:

We just got word today from our distributor that Series 1 is being delayed till the middle of December.

No, it didn't come straight from UD - so if you want to remain skeptical... I guess that's your call. The owners of that shop have zero reason to make something like this up though.... I would take them at their word.

As of right now, UD has the following 2020-21 releases still to come out:

Upper Deck AHL, O-Pee-Chee Platinum, Overtime Wave 3, Ice, SP Authentic, Ultimate Collection, Stature, Premier, Clear Cut, The Cup

Plus UD just released previews of a new product called "SP Signature Edition Legends" (it's like SPA, but for legends). It's been tagged as a 2020-21 product too.

For the 2021-22 Products: Normally Team Canada, OPC, MVP, and Artifacts are all out before Series 1. Tim Horton's cards will come out in November too.

It's the middle of October... there are about 11 weeks left in the year.

My gut tells me we'll get 2020-21 AHL, Overtime, OPC Platinum, Ice, & SPA before the end of the year.... along with 2021-22 Tim Hoton's, Team Canada, and Series 1.

If UD1 is delayed I can only hope for this :

    BRING ON TIM HORTONS CARDS.

    BUT

I dont really think that they will be out anytime soon either.

OH well we can always hope for the best.

The Timmies cards have already been made and delivered so if it is delayed that would be the Franchises fault.
The want list at this link features what I need of Gretzky, Roy, Ottawa Senators, and Miscellaneous sets. I also have a CFL want list on my page and if you have nothing from it I will consider other traders of current Ottawa Senators,Guy Lafleur, + trade bait.
