I like the idea of the thread that @RGM81 did. I am HORRIBLE for showing off stuff as I get it. Usually a really big card will prompt me to do a thread (or a few big ones) but I don't post nearly as much as I'd like to. Maybe I'll try this for 2022, and see how it goes.


Two cards here, scanned them at the same time. Good way to kick things off:



My first Ranford pickup of 2022. Swung a deal on Facebook for this card (cash & card trade) after seeing it posted:

(Reasonably certain these are the first autographs of Theodore, Thilbault, Lalime, and McLean I've ever owned).



This next one had been sitting at COMC for a lot of the last year. Finally got ahold of it physically in the fall:

This was not by design, but I ended up getting a "Blue" copy of each card.. both from the same Superlative Release.


I've lost interest in trying to track down all the variations of cards like this.... but I am interested in grabbing a single copy (regardless of colour variation) of each one. The 2019-20 Superlative set still has another 8x Signature card I'd like to land, featuring Andy Moog / Jocelyn Thibault / Jose Theodore / Kirk McLean / Olaf Kolzig / Tom Barrasso / Chris Osgood / Bill Ranford

Here's a rather odd addition to my collection. Not something I was looking for, not something I'm even sure I know what to do with.... but I had someone email me, and offer to send this my way if I'd like to have it.

Apparently he was given this when he was a kid (collected lots of hockey stuff) and the invitees were friends with his family. It sat in a box for decades, and he was going to toss it - but thought to offer it to me first.




What is it? It's an invitation to Bill Ranford's wedding (have the envelope too, but it's just got the names of some invited guests, and I have no clue who they are).

Have to give a shout out to @creasecollector for this one. The nice guy that offered to send this to me - he knew about me and my collection, via Aaron's blog, and the post about my collection:
