Connor Mcdavid young guns
Hi all,
I have a Connor Mcdavid Young Guns PSA 9 and am pondering the sale of it.
I bought over a year ago and it's one of my favourite cards but I just feel the way things are going with Edmonton etc I just not sure if his career will go the way we expect it to mainly due to Edmonton just not progressing as a team. So I just don't expect the value to go up as much as we think. I think he needs to be traded to a better team to get a Stanley cup and will that ever happen?
Also I just feel I may get better value by selling it and picking up maybe 2-3 other young guns that have plenty of progression and value to be made and profit. What's people's thoughts on Connor Mcdavid career and card values?
I mean look at Sidney Crosby he's got 3 Stanley cups and plenty of individual awards and his value is around double what Connor is now and I just don't think Connor Mcdavid career will be anywhere near his. This Ad will be removed when you a member of sportscardforum.com
Cheers and all thoughts would be nice to hear.

You have to do what you feel is the best. One thing is clear his value is good now so it is a great time to sell. The biggest thing if you sell it do not cry if it goes up in the future. Of course taking the funds into future young guns comes with their own problems of being able to pick the right player to choose. Best of luck in whatever you choose to do. Congrats to you for being one of the collector with a Connor McDavid yg.

The idea of needing a Cup to be great seems so over blown to me. It was always used in the Crosby vs Ovechkin debate to devalue Ovechkin's status. In the big picture, if McDavid continues to be the games best and most spectacular star, his card prices have nowhere to go but up.

Yes, I agree with what everyone has said. I am always interested in graded cards at a 9 level because it is a nice balance between quality and price, I would always look at a McDavid rookie and check out the shows whenever I can to see if some are for sale!
Both Canada and USA addresses available for shipping!

I just wanted to mentioned that I used to have Crosby YG RC and when I sold it I probably didn't get much. After I sold it he won 2 Stanley cup. I wish I would had waited a few more years. That card I pulled from a pack so I still got 40 times my money back.
At the time Crosby was having injuries like concussion and that's also one of the reasons I sold it.
I was also lucky to pull McDavid YG RC from a pack that I brought from Wal-Mart. I kept the card for a few years and I was worried if I sold it he might win Stanley cup and it would go up.
Last year I finally sold it and got over $1000. Not bad for a pack of cards that cost me $7 plus tax.
I happen to collect W.Gretzky so I used some of the money and brought some nice Gretzky cards.
Good luck on what you decide to do.
