    Trove Sports Den Ohio

Have any of you guys ever dealt with this promoter, Adam? He had a bunch of great cheap signings early on, and everything worked out great. It seems like, after a big slate of promotions from September to December, he's dropped off the face of the Earth. I talked to him myself in early January, he actually called me first, but havent heard back. It looks like the websight is shutdown, and he hasn't made a post online in a month. Just wondering if anyone else has dealings with him, and has heard from him????

    Hey Don,
His sight was www.thetrovesportsden.com. It's off line now. He was a great promoter for a year or so, and I guess just crapped the bed. His last few facebook posts were just complaining about people asking where their stuff was, then he disappeared. I think all his signings were privates, based out of Ohio. I'm sure a few people on here dealt with him. He was active for awhile. Dude just needs to man up and send everyone their stuff back at this point. I used him a few times, but at this point, he has had my stuff since August, kept taking peoples things through December, then he just disappeared.

I heard about him on SportsCollectors.net, but yes apparently things went south and people are just trying to get their stuff back now.

He has been ripping people off. Players included. One player even told me that Trove owes him thousands of dollars and stole a significant amount of his personal memorabilia. I've heard from other promoters that he owes significant money to Jose Rijo, Jay Buhner, Bruce Sutter, Hunter Pence, Bronson Arroyo amongst others. That's not including all of the money he owes those that purchased for his signings. He owes me about $60 for a Tyler Naquin signing.

Thanks for supplying the link sorry to hear that someone has robbed people. Only had to be a few bad apples in the hobby to make the hobby get a bad name. Hopefully, folks finally get their stuff back.

Yes I remember being very suspicious how this random new guy was able to get a bunch of big sports names at their events

Sounds like it was by just lying about stuff

He actually did get a some big names at first. I used him for about a year and got some good autos. Then I guess the bottom just fell out. I don't even care about the money at this point. I'd be content to just cut my losses and get my stuff back. Dude has just dropped off the face of the Earth.
