Breaking the ice ceiling: Girls' hockey sees rapid growth
In nontraditional markets such as Texas and Florida, the number of girls playing hockey increased by 71% in the past decade. Experts say getting more girls on the ice starts with building more rinks and combating notions that hockey is just for the boys.

Women can endure more pain than men, proven fact. Women are wired to forget pain, otherwise they would not have more than one child. Women are better at multi-tasking, proven fact.
Women's sports has, in my eye, been increasing in popularity. Women's basketball is getting a ton of attention this past year. Why not Hockey? Bring it on, girls. I love it.
