@1970s I’ve done it both ways. Personally, I’ve never had anything reported damaged as long as I send in top loader and penny sleeve. Some people have not had such luck. Even what is called PWE (plain white envelope) deals are generally safe with a top loader, but not worth the risk for high value items. Some people will tell you to use card board on either side of the top loader to increase rigidity, hide contents, and prevent punctures.

If you don’t have top loaders for mailing I would suggest getting a lot of used ones off the net or reach out to @doniceage

    Hi.

I recently dug out my collection and find there are things I still enjoy and things that no longer mean much to me. Cards run 1958-92, heavily weighted 1972-80. Mostly baseball, some basketball. Mostly Topps. Also autographs and miscellaneous stuff (cups, cans, wrappers, boxes, pins, posters, programs, all-star ballots, etc.).

Want to figure out what I've got, what I want to keep, and what to do with the rest. There are also some gaps in the collection I might want to fill.

I'll probably have lots of newbie questions, including how to package stuff for shipping to someone I sell to or trade with.

    Todd,
Nice to see you getting on the boards and exploring. If your looking to get your feet wet check out the baseball forum and if you have questions feel free to ask in that forum as it regards baseball cards.

@1970s. Also, if you use this @ symbol and type the member name it will notify them. Just a fyi on one of the many features we have on scf to make things easier.

If you have any questions lmk and I will get back to you just have to be patient.
