2021-22 OPC Platinum Hobby Release Date
Anyone know when this is coming out? Some places say late May, some say late July, others websites say late August
Can't get a clear answer

Impossible to know anything with any type of clarity right now. UD's release calendar is still very badly backed up.
We're still waiting on these from 2020-21: SP Authentic, Stature, The Cup (any I'm missing?)
We've only had 3 non-Timmy's releases from 2021-22: OPC, MVP and UD1
Platinum is usually a mid-to-late season product so we could very well be months away from it hitting the market.Habs fan and collector! Main PC's: Carey Price, Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, Juraj Slafkovsky, and of course...

I saw some of the pre-order asking prices for a hobby box of 21-22 Platinum....$200 USD, lol. Yea right.
On a bright note, my local card store in British Columbia (Zepher Epic) are currently selling Series 1 retail boxes for $79.99 with free shipping. Pretty good price if you ask me

OPC Platinum is a fun break at around 100CAD. At 200USD, it's an easy pass for me.
Nice to know about UD1. I should check more often the prices from Zephir Epic, there are often very competitive. I wonder if the YGs are in better shape in retail than in hobby.

I would have rather paid $80 for a Retail box rather than $140 for a Hobby Box. The only reason I paid $140 is because retail was delayed for months and I couldn't wait that long. I also thought it would have been $100 like series 2 was last year.
There were nothing wrong with my YG's in my hobby box

I can't remember if Clear Cut was one of the products that UD had to cancel. I know that 20-21 Ice got chopped, and if it is something linked to the need for acetate cards...doesn't bode well. Let me see if I can find that old post...

I broke 2 hobby boxes. Most of the base cards from the 2 boxes were terrible. The YGs from one box were not perfect but decent, but the ones from my second box were all returned to UD, including a Zegras, a Barre-Boulet and a Jeannot.
