Years ago I was a member of Beckett Hockey forum until I found this site.
Out of curiosity I logged back onto the above site. I could not believe the changes in it. Not impressed with the site at all
That being said I will stay with Sports Card Forum for many reasons.
A shout out to the Mods on the site who are always available to answer questions or help out.
Also thanks to all of the members who I have traded with.

Everyone on this site, mods and members YOU ARE THE BEST.

Well said @Jim bradt, I couldn't agree more. I used to enjoy being on Beckett but it quickly become more about gouging collectors and exploiting those who tried to stay, even in the face of diminishing services and benefits.

SCF has been successful because it has always had great owners and volunteers who actually want to build a community for collectors. Lots of people work for little or no recognition and I want to second your shout out to the Mods as well as the folks who work behind the scenes to keep this a great place to collect, trade, and hang out.

One of the other things I really like about this site as compared to lets say Facebook is, I make trades/purchases here and I feel safe in making those deals. You go on most other sites right now and it's a daily occurrence to read scammer alerts, posts calling each other out over (mostly) petty things. That is a tribute to the mods and the quality of collectors this site attracts and one of the main reasons I keep coming back.

Beckett was great many years ago, let's say around 2003. After, it started going downhill. I haven't went on their boards in the past 10 years. We have a great community here, I feel safe trading, and there are many great people.

very accurately said, I too was on that forum before it went to crap, I was even originally on a board called TOPPS and it was great too. but SCF is by far the best place to trade/sell and even talk sports and non sports.
I have done soo many trades and sales here and I know we have done a few and always excellent results.
The admin here is one of the best, so keep up the great work and

Agreed ....

the "company owned" boards are just plain terrible.

Other boards that have cry baby owners are just as bad. ( I just want to say HI to all people that use those other boards) Here you can have an opinion, and if you express it tactfully, everybody is fine with it.

Bad members / traders are eliminated quickly here,

Here the site is super user friendly but very effective

Finally all the good people you want to deal with....are here


I'm not that active in the past several years, but this is the place to be. Well done and keep up the good work

SCF is definitely my favorite forum. I haven't been on Beckett in YEARS and had no plans to ever go back.
