1ST Day 1939 Baseball Stamp/envelop
I have a first day stamp/envelop of a JUNE 12, 1939 centennial of baseball UNITED STATES POSTAGE 3 cents stamp. The stamp on the envelop was cancelled. On the left side of the envelop is a BASEBALL CENTENNIAL shield. The shield looks like a Maryland flag. In the middle of the shield is a baseball shape. Printed on the baseball is: BALTIMORE ORIOLES(top of the ball), JUNE 12, 1939 (between the "stitches), ORIOLE PARK (below the stitches, bottom of the ball). It has the name and address of the person, of Linthicum, Maryland that got this first day stamp/envelop. In the top/middle is the p o "stamped" date/time /city in a circle. If you're interested, make a reasonable offer. I'd rather sell, but may trade.
THANKS for checking this thread. Have a good day, Rodney
NOTE: The stamp represents the 100th Anniv. of baseball, 1839-1939.Last edited by OriolesFan; 07-08-2022 at 09:54 AM. Reason: adding "NOTE..."
