Using cards to make mosaics

Hello, my name is Daniel Blanchard. I'm 54 and live north of Montreal, Canada.
I'm not 'collector' per se, but I do use cards to create mosaics.
Some are made with the actual cards (like the 426 Mario Lemieux cards in my guest room in the first link below) but most are created using the images of the cards.
I've attached some examples of my work, a signed Chris Nilan portrait, Gretzky made with 894 different Gretzky cards, and a Cy Young created with the Benjamin K. Edwards Collection of baseball cards found in the Library of Congress.
I also run the hockeymosaics.com website where you can explore some of the mosaics like you would a map, zooming in to see each card in details.

I have yet to connect with collectors and I thought this would be the ideal place.
Ultimately I would love to create a large mosaic out of real cards, but for that I would need hundreds and hundreds of cards of that one player...
I've also bought, and recently scanned 4000 Magic the Gathering cards to create something, but it's a little hard because of the format.
I keep doing this because of the reaction I see, or read about in comments when they see my offerings...
