SCAM 2012-13 PRIZM BASKETBALL at the 2022 National Sports Collectors Convention

In case some of you missed this, I thought I would cobble together a 6min video of one of the major scams at the 2022 43rd National Sports Collectors Convention. I toss in a bit of storytelling subtitles, to frame it properly.

Strictly speaking, the scam occurred prior to the convention when DSS Sports Cards (@DSSsportsCards) bought a box of 2012-13 Prizm Basketball. Let me know what you think of the scam and how DSS handled it, live and afterwards. There was actually another scam at the National which was much bigger, related to probably $86,000 of stolen cards.

By the way, I'm a hockey guy who tries to promote good values in our hobby, beyond the constant focus on the monetary fixation.

This video was solely about how a group breaker behaved amicably when faced with adversity. Unless you formulate a specific question, I can't really formulate a constructive answer on other concerns. In fact, I don't think there is anything unusual about theft and fraud, given the amount of ppl in the hobby. What I can speak to is the values of reputable individuals and retailers, good and bad.
