Co-Host “The Chase”
Happy Thursday, everyone! Yes, it’s true, we had an episode of “The Chase” on a Thursday. This wasn’t just any ordinary episode, though. The crew welcomed NHL Hall of Fame goaltender Dominik Hasek on to the set for an ask me anything segment.
Hasek, a six-time Vezina Trophy winner, two-time Hart Trophy winner and two-time Stanley Cup Champion, etched his name in history as one of the best goaltenders in NHL history.
He spent time with the Chicago Blackhawks, Buffalo Sabres, Detroit Red Wings and Ottawa Senators.
His rise to stardom began in Buffalo, where he first became the starting goalie for the Sabres. Hasek amassed 243 wins in a Sabres uniform, including a .926 save percentage.
Following his time in Buffalo, he went on to win two Stanley Cups with the Detroit Red Wings in 2002 and 2008.
Over his 16-year NHL career, he won 389 games and etched a .922 save percentage. His season high in wins came with Detroit, where he won 41 out of 65 games that he played in.
During the AMA, the crew got to talk about his playing career, some of the moments he remembers best, some players he got to play against and much, much more. We also got to rip some 93-94 Upper Deck Series 1 Hockey, in addition to 2020-21 Stature and Ultimate Collection, with Hasek and even pulled one of his own cards, which he later signed!
