Meeting Team Canada's National Team! (Updated: MPP!)

This coming Tuesday, there is going to be a Canada-US Rivalry Series game here in Kelowna, and I am beyond excited to have tickets for it. Almost all of the top stars from our National Women's Team will be here, for the first game between the two teams since the World Championships earlier this year.

Last night as part of the festivities in the lead-up there were four events held throughout the city to have a chance to meet the players. It was somewhat last-minute and not overly well-promoted, as I only learned about it late on Friday from a friend. I still don't even know where two of the events were held. LOL All I knew is that there would be six members of the team at each location. I got to meet Brianne Jenner, Micah Zandee-Hart (one of only 2 BC-born players on the team), Jamie Lee Rattray, Jessie Eldridge, Ella Shelton, and Jaime Bourbonnais. They were all awesome--there were maybe 15 people there so just about everybody got to chat with them, take photos, etc. I'm glad I had an extra puck with me as one will be going to Karine because she didn't have a Zandee-Hart in her collection, wait till you see what I got.

It amazes me how some of these events are so under promoted folks wonder why the turnout is low. Congrats on the great meet and greet with the players and some cool stuff for the collection.
