Thinking of doing my first show. Any and all advice is welcomed!

Hi, Bake said you used to do shows in Jacksonville. Jacksonville, NC? If so, I didn't know you were in this area. Well, any advice on doing shows is welcomed and appreciated.

Side note, I have a bunch of Titan Autos and GU stuff if you want to take a look.

Don,

Did you price everything and then have a certain mark up you knew yu could go down to to haggle. Like everything 10% or something? Or marked as is?

Do local teams stuff sell? For Example: Should I keep UNC or NC State Stuff and Panthers? Or is it manly stars that sell?

I always price my stuff on the back which is usually the price I pay rounded up. So, I am not a big mark up kind of guy so If I paid 5 I sell it for 6 LOL. I am not in it for the hobby for dollars just interaction and friendship for the long haul. So, yes I price everything on the back of the cards but not on the front. I do take a lot of lower end stuff and throw Dollar game used in a box and they always move as folks love looking for teams at that price point (older game used) etc. Work well for .50 cents and .25 boxes. If you do this and have it priced folks will stop by and go thru your boxes. Then if you have a showcase and they see your reasonable on your prices they will ask about stuff in the case.

I do not have any local teams besides college but U.K. stuff does sell well locally if you have them in rookies or college uniforms. Very, rarely do I ever see a guy still collecting for example John Wall even though he a stud who played at U.K. They, move on to the hot new rookies coming out in prizm etc. LOL. I want the flashy new stuff which is later forgotten lol.

Thank you. I love the advice. I just sold a few hundred autographs of college players (Hit, Sage, Contenders) for about .25 each. Maybe I should have kept them. LOL
