NYY don't care about batting average
Yankees + Todd Greene collector. There are tens of thousands of Yankees I need. My grail card is a 2005 Topps Pristine Fielder's Choice Glove Relics #TG Todd Greene.

Without the shift, everyone’s batting average will explode. Look for joey gallo to hit .270+

Avg, should go up, especially for lefties. Gallo .270? maybe .225, K's too much.
Thats part of Yanks problem, not putting ball in play. Everyone wants the big fly.

Was kinda joking about Gallo. I read somewhere some statisticians feel avg dropped around 35 points for hitters due to the widespread adoption of the shift. That would still have Gallo hitting under 200 based on last season.

But yes you're right. Everyone tries to be the hero all the time. They all want to trot around the bases, nobody wants the excitement of a base-clearing double or sac fly to tie the game which are just as much fun in my opinion.

Saw a betting program on NESN (new england) they had the Yankees win totals at 94.5, that seems more realistic than104.5.
