    Post Falcons'Cameron Batson is arrested for "fighting Atlanta cops during traffic stop"

    A member of the Atlanta Falcons practice squad was arrested early Saturday morning after being pulled over for speeding and allegedly failing a field sobriety test, attacking officers, fleeing in his truck, crashing, and attempting to escape on foot.

    Wide receiver Cameron Batson was ultimately found hiding by police and arrested, although a list of charges has not been released. An Atlanta police spokesperson instructed DailyMail.com to refile a request for further information on Tuesday. As of midday on Saturday, Batson was not listed on the Fulton County Jail inmate roster.

    One officer fired a gun at Batson, who was not wounded during the ordeal.

    The Falcons have acknowledged Batson's arrest in a statement: 'We have been made aware of an overnight incident involving Cameron Batson and are currently gathering information from law enforcement agencies. We take this matter seriously and have no further comment at this time.'
