I thought Carolina was nuts for getting rid of him (for next to noithing) - but obviously they thought they had someone else in the system who was going to be better (remains to be seen if Kochetkov really is that guy, but he's looked great this year).

Obviously Nedelikovic went from a strong team (Carolina) to a weaker team (Detroit) but it's not like Magnus Hellberg is a world beater (who has effectively taken Nedelikovic's spot on the depth chart).... and while Ville Husso was brought in to be the #1, it's not like he's a guy with a long track record of success. Nedelikovic lost his job, but hasn't done anything in two years to make anyone want to take a chance on him.

He could be a rebound candidate next year. He's a pending UFA, and will likely have to sign for less than his $3m cap hit.
