This is the mission statement
Hockey is for Everyone™ uses the game of hockey - and the League's global influence - to drive positive social change and foster more inclusive communities.
We support any teammate, coach or fan who brings heart, energy and passion to the rink. We believe all hockey programs - from professionals to youth organizations - should provide a safe, positive and inclusive environment for players and families regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, gender identity or expression, disability, sexual orientation and socio-economic status.
Figured I put this up to see what you all thought. I personally say it a world in which you can have your own opinion please do not force your opinion on anyone. In the end we have to suffer the repercussions of the actions we make. Look forward to the discussion if anyone feel like chiming in.

Wearing a different jersey in warm-up is a monstrous hardship no privileged millionaire athlete should ever have to endure.

No one should be forced into liking something. No one should be forced to endure or take part in something they don't want to.
If people stop believing in religion they tend to stop going to church.
I personally do not care what someone's sexual orientation is but I am not going to participate in a Gay Pride Parade against my will because of that.Last edited by Cunnuc; 01-24-2023 at 08:13 AM.

We want the world to be inclusive until it doesnt fit the mainstream narrative. They then become intolerant towards anyone who doesnt take their woke crap.

I am sure many folks feel like you do.
So, you would wear a jersey if something was against your beliefs? I think that was the reason Ivan stated he did not want to wear it. What does the amount of money have to do with the hardship of wearing a jersey. Just trying to understand your logic. I agree he is a millionaire and is afforded a life of luxury but many athletes are not as many do not make millions playing a sport they love.
\
I mean if you are Russian your going to have a favorable disposition to your country. Would you rather have had the NHL not allow the Russians to play?
Obviously, Ivan.
That is the great thing about the U.S. you are free to have your opinion.
He is standing up for his beliefs but boy some want him to be benched etc. I just like to hear all the viewpoint from fans on their thoughts.
Thanks for sharing your viewpoint.
I think this applies to about anything. No matter what you do you are going to take heat by some person out there. With social media, blogs, social influencers, it is so easy for a person to go off on what they feel is not correct by an athlete and how they act.Last edited by doniceage; 01-22-2023 at 04:04 PM.
