    2023 Topps Heritage

Has anybody heard anything about 2023 Heritage? Is it even going to be a thing this year?

With Fanatics now running things for Topps it seems like they are real slow on releasing product and even slower on releasing details. My theory is that they are pushing Topps Heritage back awhile (it used to be a very early release) and they will combine Topps Heritage and Topps Heritage High Number into one release. Both products have been relative retail duds lately and this way they can add some of the rookies into the set without making two releases. Just my gut feeling.

Topps has way too many products as is.

There must be at least 20 different sets they release each year with nearly identical checklists from each team.

The number of 2022 products bleeding into 2023 releases is ridiculous.

Heritage is probably just pushed back because they still have to release 2022 Topps Chrome Double Chrome Titanium Edition x Jose Canseco, featuring your favorite team's roster from 2021. Same photos as the base version released 11 months ago, but double shiny. So shiny it looks just like a regular base card.

Yankees + Todd Greene collector. There are tens of thousands of Yankees I need. My grail card is a 2005 Topps Pristine Fielder's Choice Glove Relics #TG Todd Greene.

There was a recent release from Topps/Fanatics about which products were put on hiatus for 2023. Heritage was not part of that list.

These are the ones that will not exist this year: Topps Opening Day, Gold Label, Clearly Authentic, Fire, Bowman 1st Edition, Gallery, Archives Snapshots and Bowman Chrome X.

Opening Day, the 1st Editions, and Chrome X make the most sense to me. I like Fire. Gold Label and Gallery were always a little boring to me. Glad to see they're working on it.

I always liked Opening Day, you got more cards per blaster, but they do look awfully close to regular Topps.

Definitely got a ton of cards with Opening Day but it always felt like a weird product with the same photos of series 1 and some series 2 cards.

Yeah, I agree but have occasionally picked up a box. Not so much for the other discontinued products.

I'm hearing 2023 Topps Heritage release in May from somebody that covered the Topps Industry Conference this year
