I don't think it's at all a coincidence this is happening on the eve of the introduction of Bedard.

Player collectors are going to have quite the challenge with the new parallels - will the traditional Exclusives and High Gloss parallels continue to exist? What of the Clear Cut/Clear Cut Exclusives?

Exclusives, High Gloss, and Clear Cut parallels are still in the product. There will not be Clear Cut Exclusives though.

I always enjoy collecting parallels, especially if they are numbered. This will definitely add a bit more excitement for player and team collectors.

The packs have 3x the inserts but there are less packs per box. Current boxes are one insert per pack with 24 packs (24 inserts per box). New format is three inserts per pack with 12 packs (36 inserts per box)

I'm not sure I like the less packs per box trend. It is what it is I suppose with the focus on "hits" and base cards headed to the trash bin. A lot inserts are hot garbage themselves though.

Good point. One only needs to go to sites like COMC to see tens of thousands of S1 and S2 inserts being listed for 0.02.
