    lol so I actually got the card back from Upper Deck today. They didn't do anything, instead explaining in a letter that they didn't see any factory damage and wouldn't be replacing it.

    Problem with that is that I'm almost certain they didn't take the card out of the penny sleeve/top loader because that's the only way you'd see the damage. In the case, the case holds the peeling foil against the card well enough that you can barely notice it. As soon as you remove it, it pulls apart right away and is obvious. Great QA team you have there guys, what a joke.

    Next time, maybe you should ruin the card before shipping it to them, lol. It's sad that it turned that way, those Gretzky World Best are valuable.

    That's too bad. I've had similar experiences in the past where the card manufacturer states that it's a common fault (part of the printing process) or they offer something way less valuable in return.

    I was hoping that you were going to get a Gretzky back and something else for your troubles.
