2023 National, Who's Coming
Just wondering if anybody is making the trek to Chicago this year.
Has anybody seen what Upperdeck is doing this year?
I will be attending on Saturday the 29th. I have my walking shoes ready, lol

Juan,
Hope you enjoy the show as always. As for Upper Deck what are you wanting specifically?

I am sure they have more planned but that usually what causes the longest line. Have a great tine at the show and look forward to your pickups.

Thanks @doniceage for the info.
I might buy a couple of boxes of Ice just to get some packs and hopefully I'm able to get a raffle ticket.
Judging by the response to the thread, not many people going, lol

So how was the aroma at the nationals? I am assuming the box fans were cranking for a few days. Did they ever get the a/c back up and running to make it more tolerable. Reminds me of the Nationals at Cleveland as they brought chillers in there as that place does not have a/c If I remember correctly.

It was a long and rough day. Crowds were crazy and it was so hot. Lines at the autograph and grading
tables were so long. The corporate area was packed all day long, as well as the breakers area. As usual there was alot more Baseball, Basketball, Football then Hockey. I think there was more Soccer, F1 and gaming cards then Hockey. We were there just about all day and I think we still missed half the booths. Did I mention how hot it was?
When I did find Hockey it was so hard to get a good look because of how many people there was. Some tables I could not even get close to look at the cases or boxes of cards. I won't even mention how rude and inconsiderate people can be. We were able to get in on the Upperdeck free raffle but no luck. Did I mention how hot it was?
Personally I did find a couple of cards (3) to fill in some of my older sets. I did get two boxes of 21/22 Ice to get the free packs from UD. I also picked up a couple of jerseys that will be part of my show and tell. My brother and nephew also picked some jerseys that i will also mention the show and tell.
I will say that slabbed cards are king. Besides the thousands of slabbed sports cards that I saw, there were tons of non-sport and gaming graded cards. I heard that the grading companies had long lines all week.
Can't wait til the next National here in Chicago in most likely two years.
Did I mention how hot it was?

I heard it was hot too hot lol. Seen the pictures of fans boxes piled up at the trash can. As for rude people it not surprising as people always get upset when money is involved. Glad this is just a hobby for us as I can miss the Nationals and not feel bad in not attending. Might plan on attending next year in Cleveland if everything goes well.
