Jagr's return to Pittsburgh ends with his No. 68 being retired
Jaromir Jagr's return to Pittsburgh ends with his No. 68 being retired | TSN
PITTSBURGH (AP) — There were jokes. And laughter. And catharsis.
Just no tears. At least none from Jaromir Jagr. Maybe because they were unnecessary when the Pittsburgh Penguins retired his iconic No. 68 on Sunday.
The look on Jagr's face, the subtle catch in his voice, the smile that remains boyish even at 52 said it all.
No matter where the NHL's second all-time leading scorer has gone during a professional odyssey that's spanned 30-plus years and three continents, Jagr has long understood where his hockey home is: the place where he arrived in 1990 as a teenager from eastern Europe shrouded in mystery, armed with a mullet that became his trademark and the kind of prodigious talent that eventually made him one of the game's all-time greats.
I like how we refer to some players and some player's actions as Legendary, then there is Jaromir Jagr a true living Legend.PC Players: Hidden Content , Hidden Content , Hidden Content , Hidden Content & Hidden Content

The Penguins social media team, along with the NHL & Jagr himself, did an amazing job hyping this up all weekend long. Saw some great posts on Instagram. He really is a legend of the game, and I'm happy he got this great honour from the NHL team where it all started.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

I haven't seen the ceremony but from some posts with short videos it looked really great, Jagr deserved it.
P.S. I'm still bummed for those Jagr khl seasons, he should have stayed in NHL...

It was an awesome presentation. The Penguins did it up right for once. Mario indeed was on hand for the festivities. Also there were tears by Jagr when he thanked his parents. Jagr’s father passed away last year but his mother was there along with his girlfriend. Jagr’s mother cried as he acknowledged the parents and then Jagr stopped and hugged his mother. Jagr had tears during that. I enjoyed the jersey retirement, and I enjoyed seeing the players from the 90’s. However, I did not enjoy the final score of the actual game. Like Meatloaf said…. Two out of three ain’t bad.
