Just a few things going on at SCF and the hobby and the Nationals of course.
1) First off I wanted to take the time to thanks Arfmax Ethan for all his years helping manage the TTM forums. So, with that said I am handling it and it has been a learning curve and if you have any issues feel free to drop me a message. I just ask that you be patient when making a post and not being so quick to do it again as we all make double entries from time to time. I had folks who requested to have sometimes 3 entries for a TTM request be fixed. Keep them coming, just know that I am picking up the absence of Ethan. So, just know it will not be done as quick or smoothly as in the past. Also, when leaving comments please keep them to the point and no personal attacks directed at the athletes or members. If any of you members really like the TTM side of things and want to help out on the backend feel free to drop me a message. The site is only good as the volunteers and members who maintain it.
2) Recently adult sites have been getting spammed more frequently on SCF. Please keep reporting the posts but if you could please drop me a pm or tag me in the post as well. This enables me to handle it more quickly as I check the site daily. Getting a tag or a pm about a post will let me handle that as my first duty when I log onto the site daily. I also suggest making your password a little more secure as older accounts seem to be getting hacked into. So, when you leave the site or get out of the hobby perhaps it will not be so easy to for the spammer to get into your old account.
3) A big thank to sponsors that help keep the lights on at SCF. If you subscribe to Beckett I suggest you look into SCI with an actual price guide reflected with real sale data to support the pricing. Also, their site has a lot of news on the hobby in general which is always worth taking a look as well.
SCI
Also, if you have been over on the hockey side of the board SCI had provided a few nice hobby boxes for prizes in a year long contest run by RGM81. The contest can be found in this thread and still has about 26 weeks to go as we are only at the half way point. https://www.sportscardforum.com/thre...t-2024-Edition! If you are participating or have ever participated in one give Richard a pat on the back as it not easy to put the time and effort into these contest year after year.
ISA is a grading company that offers a flat low rate with a quick turnaround and is a great option for folks who like slabbed cards for their personal collection. They have been around for 15 years and probably will be around for many more while other grading companies come and go. How many of us remember all the grading companies that went belly up. I recently sold a graded card by Snaggetoothgrading.com and I wondered where they are now?
ISA
So, just saying even though a company might be cheaper will be they be around for the long haul like ISA as they have been in business since 2010.
4) The biggest card show is upon us as the NSCC is less than a month away. I made a post here if any of you are even thinking about going. Would love to meet you as I have met quite a few members over the years. I will be just attending to see how the hobby has evolved since Covid as I did not go for the last few years. Want to see the new trade nights every night the slew of breakers breaking live daily on the floor of the Nationals, etc. If any of you would like to meet up chime in here or this thread:
https://www.sportscardforum.com/thre...board-is-going
Love meeting members who have brought me supplies like Zunato at the Chicago show from doing group breaks in the past, Postman from Australia bringing me some timtams when they were only found there, or the meeting one of the original members from the Feet on the Wall Posse as it has been 14 years. If any of you members would like to meet feel free to drop me a line and we can meet and chat. It is always nice to put a face to the userid from the boards when you chatted a few times or seen the person post over the years but have no clue to who they are. If you have any questions about the Nationals as well feel free to ask as it always nice to have a idea of what you might be stepping into when you go to the Nationals for the very first time.
In the end I hope you all have a great summer and if you ever need anything feel free to drop me a personal message at my userid doniceage.

I once had a Snaggletooth Grading card for sale at a show (Jimmy's USA). The guy who bought it stood there holding the card laughing hysterically. I kind of regret selling it lol
I'm always looking to trade cards for original Nintendo (NES) games. Always looking for 86-87 Fleer basketball - even commons - the more, the better :) Also, when sending cards out, please make certain the cards are well-protected and well-packaged.

It amazing how folks forget about all the old grading companies! Nice story.
