We continue the 2025 Contest with a timely theme: Best Card of a player traded at the 2025 Trade Deadline

This year's trade deadline had a frenzy of activity with several big names on the move to help push a team from "contender" to "Stanley Cup favourite" status. It can be tough on a team, and on a collector's PC, but also opens up new opportunities. You can peruse the full list of trades made at or near deadline day here: https://www.nhl.com/news/2024-25-nhl-trades For our purposes, any trade made from March 1, 2025 to March 7, 2025 will be eligible so show off your best card of a player who was on the move!

Posting guideline: please ensure that you have proof of ownership in your image. This can be as simple as having your SCF user name on a decoy card alongside your submission. I'll share an example below.

Contest is open to all SCF Members except for myself, fellow TM's, and anyone in the upper management or the voting committee. We can play, but we won't be eligible in the voting rounds.

Reminder about the points & RP available for participation:

How points will be awarded:

3 points for a valid entry
2 points for voting on one of the top three cards in the Voting thread that will be posted early next week
6 point for first place
4 points for second place
2 points for third place

Each entry will earn you 25 Rewards Points. For those not familiar with SCF RP, it's a site currency that can be used to purchase cards from other members, the SCF Rewards Store, and get into special Group Breaks hosted by @doniceage

The winner of each week's contest will be awarded an additional 250RP.

Voting thread for the week will be posted soon, with the new regulations in place.

Here is mine for this week. For all you Dallas fans a Mikko Rantanen Future Watch 05-06 Retro Patch Auto from the 15-16 SP Authentic set. Dallas could be tough to beat this year after this trade!

Maybe just participation points for this card, but pulled this one myself back in 2015. Nice little 1 of 1 auto, this guy has been traded around a few times. Back to where he won his cup with Vegas again. 14 years in the league, 6th trade, 6th team. Was hoping to show a Luke Schenn UD High Gloss card I had but I can't find it! I am still looking for his SP Authentic 2012/13 RC auto, # 217, if anyone knows of it or has one.

Another participation point entry - Not really happy the Bruins traded a bunch of really good core players. For Carlo they did a signifiant return for the future with a conditional first-round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft, and a fourth-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft. Do not know a lot about Minten. But what were they thinking trading thim o the Maple Leafs within the division??
