How would I grade the center?
Im trying to figure out where to pick the centers for this card but Ive been getting used to vintage cards that have obvious squares and Im just a total novice. Does anyone know where to use the center gauge / ruler to try and center this? I'm not looking for "its off-center answers" just more trying to learn where PSA is going to look to center this so I can try to learn how to center cards myself because it's something I'm interested in. Thank you!

I use the points of the design as a border. This one looks just a bit oc left to right but not much at all...

oh ok thank you so im just over thinking it. you just use reference points - like each point is measured and if its 5mm 5mm its 50/50 and so on? i guess thats what i figured haha. Thanks!

Hey it's not easy grading yourself... I thought I had a 10 or at least a 9.5 not long ago. Came back with 8.5! I was not happy to say the least! Apparently graders can use magnifying glasses to a certain strength.
Some grading companies are more lenient than others too... BGS is probably the stingiest, then PSA, then SGC. Those are the 3 I've used.

yea definitely figuring that out. I'm waiting for some of those Card savers that are semi thick or semi flexible or w/e to send 3 cards into psa that i think are 6s or something (they're vintage) at best haha. Maybe worst >.< I think 10s and 9s are easy to get rid of because a 9 it says can only have ONE of these defects on the https://www.psacard.com/gradingstandards#cards part where it explains 9 and a 10 just cant have almost anything. The centering was where I was overthinking I think...but we'll see how the cards come back like you said o.o haha Do you choose to use SGC or BGS to go for 9.5s or something?
