Saw this on CBC today:

Here we go again! Sounds like another strike could be happening as early as May 22.
Get your trading done now, I guess

Yes, the strike was only put on hold until May 22nd, way back in December when they were sent back to work. So... yes hopefully negotiation go well and the strike is averted. However, the Union went on strike close to Christmas to help push in their favour, but that didn't work. Christmas was ruined for many and nothing got solved. No reason to speed up negotiations this time.
My cousin works for Purolator (he loves it, by the way) and they are ramping up in anticipation of the Canada Post strike. I thought I read on some of these boards during the strike that Canada Post owns 90% of Purolator ? As in maybe Purolator already knows there will be a strike...
I hope not! Enjoy your summer everyone!Master List: Hidden Content

Inevitable and typical of our LPC government. There is no plan to move forward.
The want list at this link features what I need of Gretzky, Roy, Ottawa Senators, and Miscellaneous sets. I also have a CFL want list on my page and if you have nothing from it I will consider other traders of current Ottawa Senators,Guy Lafleur, + trade bait.

More a case of there's no budging on either the union's side or the employer's side. It's hard for any movement forward to occur when one side is insistent on their demands, and the other side is equally insistent on their demands, and both sides are unwilling to come to some sort of happy middle ground.

Mélanie Joly brother, Jean-Sebastien, is president of Intelcom, a big player in the parcel delivery industry. The liberal govnerment will do anything to push customers from CP to Intelcom.

Well, to be fair, every party does that. Conservatives and NDP are just as bad.

Harper started a reorganisation of the postal service around 2014 to keep it viable in the future. The reorganisation was reversed by Trudeau when he got the power, and from there CP made crazy financial losses.

Yeah, not surprised by this. Hoping they can figure out a resolution soon but they may be still far apart..
