Post Pittsburgh Steelers trade George Pickens to Cowboys

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/nf...ckens-NFL.html

The Dallas Cowboys have finalized a trade to acquire talented wide receiver George Pickens from the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The 24-year-old Steelers star is heading to Dallas in exchange for future third-round and fifth-round picks, while the Cowboys will get back a 2027 sixth rounder, as was first reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Pickens was penciled in opposite newly acquired DK Metcalf on Pittsburgh coach Mike Tomlin's depth chart. Now, after recently unfollowing the Steelers on social media, Pickens is set to play across from another All-Pro in star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb.

Wednesday's trade comes with Pickens entering the final year of his rookie contract, meaning it will be up to Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones to find a way to fit another contract alongside Lamb and quarterback Dak Prescott's massive salaries. Pickens' contract situation may have limited the compensation Pittsburgh received in the deal.

Steelers are a weird team as they still don't have a QB. They made the playoffs last year but they got rid of Wilson and Fields so they don't even have their back up. If Aaron does sign with them they really have no other options and they'd be a pretty bad team going with what they have right now. Like I said maybe he is just "holding out" so he doesn't have to play all those preseason games and workouts? But it would be a totally new team for him so he'd actually need to work with the team if that was the case.

It's possible the Steelers are finally deciding that a winning record isn't important for a single season and are willing to have a losing record for the first time since.... 2003. Should be some decent QB options next year in the draft. Find their next 15 year starter hopefully.
