We continue the 2025 Contest with a fun one which may also trigger some bad memories: Best Card of a player that you used to PC, but he got traded and now you're stuck with it

We've all had this happen to us. There's a young prospect who makes the team, and you're hyped to collect his cards. You get the nice RC's, some autos, some cool low #'d cards...and then he gets traded. Or he's Nikita Scherbak and he's out of the NHL within a season or two. Let's see your best card of a player that you were excited to collect and was part of your overall PC, but he left the team and now you're stuck with it.

Posting guideline: please ensure that you have proof of ownership in your image. This can be as simple as having your SCF user name on a decoy card alongside your submission. I'll share an example below.

Contest is open to all SCF Members except for myself, fellow TM's, and anyone in the upper management or the voting committee. We can play, but we won't be eligible in the voting rounds.

Reminder about the points & RP available for participation:

How points will be awarded:

3 points for a valid entry
2 points for voting on one of the top three cards in the Voting thread that will be posted early next week
6 point for first place
4 points for second place
2 points for third place

Each entry will earn you 25 Rewards Points. For those not familiar with SCF RP, it's a site currency that can be used to purchase cards from other members, the SCF Rewards Store, and get into special Group Breaks hosted by @doniceage

The winner of each week's contest will be awarded an additional 250RP.

Absolutely loved this guy when he was with the Habs. Scoring a massive OT GWG to sweep the Jets in the 2nd round of the 2021 Playoffs, some clutch goals, just a great dude. I'm happy tor him that he seems to have found a long-term home in San Jose and become the "team dad" for a lot of the kids. Plus, unlike CERTAIN OTHER HABS PLAYERS, his wife is actually pretty cool too. LOL Here's a multi-colour Tyler Toffoli National Treasures ARP.

When my hometown guy made it to the NHL, I bought up a bunch of his rookie cards. Then he got traded and never really had much of a career after that. Oh well...

I ended up giving his family a bunch of his rookie cards.

One card I did keep was this 2006-07 Upper Deck Ultimate "Rookie Shield Auto" 1/1

Here is a player that I have collected many cards of over the years when we gave up a lot of our future(Seguin and Hamilton) to Boston to get him. He had some productive years for us but never brought us the glory that we were looking for and eventually was traded to Pittsburgh. To make matters tougher he won 2 Cups with the Penguins and 1 with Vegas. He brought a lot of excitement to the Leaf's but as many of our saviours over the years no Championships. Phil Kessel is the player I no longer collect but have many cards of including this 1/1 from 13-14 The Cup. Mitch Marner would be a close second now that he is with Vegas but there is so many others lol.

Over the years I occasionally picked a Flames rookie to collect on a major basis. Chuck Kobasew, Jordon Leopold, Eric Nystrom, and Sean Monahan are examples. Sam Bennett is the last Flames rookie that followed that pattern for me. Once the players were traded I stopped picking up their cards. This Sam Bennett card is from 2015-16 Premier, and is #3/3.

My entry this week, was 1st rounder #2 overall pick and loved watching him play with Crosby and Malkin, but sadly it was only for 6 years and then traded away to Carolina
I still love to watch him play but stopped collecting after his trade (still have my collection, not sure what I am going to do with it)
