Biography of a Season
If anyone is familiar with Upper Deck's "Biography of a Season" set, could they tell me how these cards were released? I always thought they were an insert set from Series 1/2 but I'm not so sure (unless they were some kind of retail exclusive.) I think the set usually consists of 30 cards or less, so I don't think it would have been a stand-alone release. Anyone know for sure?

It's been a while since they've done these. Though now they have the Game Dated Moments cards on e-Pack.
I think they were a giveaway at card stores in certain years. If you bought a certain amount of product, your local dealer would hook you up with a set.

The last (?) BOS in 2015-16 were issued as sets of two waves of 12-cards each; 6 for gretzky and 6 for McDavid and were given by dealers as a "gift" for purchasing some $ level of stuff. Earlier BOS, 2006-07, e.g. were issued wrapped in packs like the Overtime cards from later years; again as a freebie by dealers.
