I love Topps Customer Support
I pulled a Bowman Chrome Yovani Gallardo Gold Refractor with a dinged corner back when the product came out. I sent it to Topps per the instructions on their website. They return it because I did not include wrapper and receipt which was not specified. My dealer offered to send it in for me. They returned it to him because there was no receipt. By now the card has a dinged corner and surface wear from so much shipping and handling. So.. I send it in a third time with wrapper and receipt. They return it again saying it is no longer in stock! The card is now total trash and they do not even offer a substitute.
This is a hobby and should be fun. Topps seems to be doing everything possible to discourage customers and avoid responsibility. This adversarial game they play is a disgrace. Upper Deck is slow but at least they replace damaged cards.
Hopefully Topps will get a restructure as part of the buyout.

Topps is usually fine. And no Upper Deck doesn't always replace cards because I have been down that road with a Brett favre Auto.

Yavahdini Who?
I got a 06 Donruss Gridiron Gear Maurice Drew Player timeline GU #/150 off ebay. The card had the worst creases I have seen on a card in a LONG TIME. It was shipped in a plain white envelope with a single 39 cent stamp and NO toploader. (4 dollars shipping and I am currently working with the seller for compensation)
I sent the card to donruss 4 days ago (saturday). I went to my card dealer and bought a hobby pack (all commons). I got a Delivery Confirmation that it arrived and an email from Donruss that they were replacing the card with "something of equal or greater" value. I should see the item/items (I hope a hobby box of Gridiron Gear) within 7-10 days.
I am extremely pleased with Donruss in this matter. I am waiting for two auto redemptions from Topps for 7 months now.
