I would like to give a special thanks to the members that have signed up. So far we have had 7 VIP membership subscriptions (one waiting to be cleared) and 0 Premium Member sign ups since launching this. We have raised $152.96 towards our full page ad (Paypal takes $0.88 fee for each membership). I would like to thank the following members for their great support and making an ad in Tuff Stuff that much closer to reality:

    warman
    johnnym415
    hoeser
    FlyeRick
    cardlover2006
    Lesracing
    enigma_shadow

We still need to raise $600+ for the half page ad.

I will be getting an ad in Tuff Stuff regardless this January. So far since running this program we have had 9 VIP members sign up or roughly $172 after PayPal fees ($0.88 per VIP members). The Tuff Stuff ad will cost between $500 to $800 depending on the site (half or full page ad).

I think having a 1/2 to full page ad in Tuff Stuff and eventually Beckett gives us:
    • Exposure in most card shops and magazine stores (Tuff Stuff claims 50,000 are sold each month)
    • More SCF members
    • When dealing with card shops, you can point to the ad in Tuff Stuff
At the end of the day this gives us a lot of exposure to people who may not know of SCF.

thanks for clearing that up Mike- its kind of what I figured, but I wanted to check
Is that worth the 600 bucks though? Is there something better that we could do with that money for the site? I agree completely that increasing our exposure is necessary, and a big ad in a major magazine is a good way to do that, but (and this is the businessman in me thinking) can we guarantee that the investment will repay itself in increased membership, etc?
Id love to talk with you at length about this Mike (if you want to, that is)
Shoot me a PM sometime, I have some cool thoughts for the site, Im just not sure how feasible they would be
